Your First Visit

When Dr. Walden opened Walden Dental Group in 2003, he designed it to be a comfortable place where patients and staff would feel good and want to be. The practice, currently named Walden Beavers Dental Group, is conveniently located in the Watermark at Chandler Airpark complex, and there is ample parking in front of our office. The Airpark also offers plenty of restaurants and shops.

Visiting Our Office

After we schedule your first appointment, you can fill out our forms online. That way, we’ll already have all the information we need when you visit. Your appointment will last about 90 minutes.

When you arrive, our friendly receptionist will check you in and offer you a seat in our lobby. Soon, a hygienist will take you back through our spacious office to one of our nine operatories. When you are comfortably settled in a chair, she will ask you questions about your oral and general health. Next, she’ll examine your gums. Assuming there is no significant gum disease, she will then clean your teeth. If necessary, she may take some x-rays of your mouth.

After the hygienist finishes cleaning your teeth, she’ll let Dr. Walden or Dr. Beavers know you’re ready for your exam.

The doctor will talk to you and examine your teeth. If he finds any problems, he’ll explain all your treatment options to you. The best treatment for you will meet your unique needs and goals and suit your budget. If your treatment needs are complex, the doctor will take some time to study your case and have you come back to discuss your treatment options.

Next, you’ll see a treatment coordinator who will answer any further questions you have about your treatment and discuss your insurance coverage and financing options.

Intraoral Camera

The intraoral camera lets us see inside your mouth for a clear, well-lit, close-up view of each aspect of each tooth.

Intraoral Scanner

We also take digital impressions, using a camera to form a detailed 3D image of your mouth before creating a bridge, a crown, or dentures. Digital impressions are more precise and reliable than the old method. In addition, they don’t require you to bite down on messy impression materials.

KaVo Digital 3D X-Rays

Digital 3D x-rays offer an advantage over standard 2D x-rays—they allow Dr. Walden and Dr. Beavers to see inside your mouth from multiple angles. When they place an implant, 3D x-rays let them see the exact layout of your teeth and nerves for optimal positioning and to avoid injury to critical structures.

CEREC

CEREC technology allows us to mill bridges and crowns in our office without an outside lab, dramatically reducing wait times. It takes only minutes for the CEREC machine to craft a crown for your tooth. This eliminates the need to wear a temporary crown and accomplishes the entire procedure in one appointment.
